Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 29 April 2025: The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) held the eighth edition of its “Knowledge Lab” series, an internal platform dedicated to educating and raising awareness among NHRI employees on key human rights issues.

Focus on Equal Rights and Inclusion

Titled “Equal Rights and Respect for Differences among People of Determination,” the session was led by NHRI Board of Trustees Member Klaithem Al Matrooshi. The discussion centered on advancing the rights of People of Determination, emphasizing the need for inclusive and supportive environments that enable individuals to live with dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

A major focus of the discussion was the critical role that families, communities, and broader social systems play in ensuring People of Determination can fully participate in society.
