Netflix, a video streaming provider, is expected to expand its gaming offering to its users with the addition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition.

These games are expected to be included to the video streaming programme for its members beginning December 14. In the meantime, interested users can pre-register for these games on iOS and Google Play.

The Grand Theft Auto trilogy includes remastered versions of the three games that helped establish GTA as a gaming powerhouse. This includes GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.

However, at launch, these games were heavily criticised for their poor quality. However, the developers have since released several patches to improve the game’s quality.

Netflix’s game selection is well curated, containing critically acclaimed titles such as 12 Minutes, Raji: An Ancient Epic, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Oxenfree, and many more.

It’s an appealing alternative for gamers with Netflix subscriptions looking for new gaming experiences.

Netflix has increased its game options with Hades, Katana Zero, and a Money Heist-themed game.

In similar developments, competitors on Netflix’s reality game show Squid Game: The Challenge may sue the company.

456 Competitors Fighting

With 456 competitors fighting for a $4.56 million cash prize, sources indicate that two of them are considering suing owing to injuries incurred while filming.

The injuries allegedly occurred during the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ challenge, in which contestants were required to stay still continuously in frigid temperatures. While Netflix stated that three candidates got medical attention, it denied any serious harm accusations.
