Neta L debuts in China as world’s fastest charging EREV

Neta Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese EV manufacturer Hozon Auto, has officially introduced the Neta L SUV to the Chinese market.

The Neta L is presently only available in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) forms, with battery electric vehicle (BEV) variations to be introduced later this year.

Extended-range Electric Vehicle

The Neta L EREV is available in four configurations:

  1. 129,900 yuan ($17,900)
  2. 136,900 yuan ($18,900)
  3. 149,900 yuan ($20,700)
  4. 159,900 yuan ($22,000).

Neta L 5-seater SUV

The Neta L 5-seater SUV is positioned as a medium-sized SUV and is constructed on Neta’s Shanhai Platform 2.0.

Its dimensions are 4,770/1,900/1,660 mm and its wheelbase is 2,810 mm. It also has an excellent drag coefficient of 0.258 Cd.

1.5L four-cylinder Engine

The Neta L is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine (91hp/ 231Nm) that serves as a range extender, as well as a 40.27 kWh LFP battery pack, which provides a CLTC battery range of up to 310 kilometres.

With a full tank and battery, the Neta L has a combined CLTC driving range of 1,300 km. It can charge from 30% to 80% in less than 19 minutes, making it the world’s fastest-charging EREV, according to Neta.
