Nationwide online passport fee app officially launched all across Pakistan

Following its initial release in Pakistan’s main cities, the online passport fee app was made available throughout the whole country by Directorate General Immigration and Passports (DGIP), acting on instructions from the Interior Ministry.

In this respect, the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah launched the app Passport Fee Asaan today and disclosed that the app has been enabled for public usage, according to a tweet from the Head of the Prime Minister’s (PM) Strategic Reforms, Salman Sufi.

He stated that the service is one of several amenities that will be introduced in the coming months and that it would allow millions of residents to pay their taxes without having to wait in line at banks.

It should be noted that the software is accessible through both the Apple Store and the Play Store. Additionally, using PayMaster on the DGIP website, people may pay their passport costs.

The online payment option was formerly offered for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, and Karachi was supposed to get it this month. Prior to its intended introduction in the financial capital, the Ministry has activated it across the whole nation.

After successfully paying the price for the online process, people will get notifications through email and a short messaging service (SMS), which they must present as proof at the passport office.
