Central to the Aquarium’s educational endeavours stands its flagship program.
The ‘Professor’s Aquademy’, meticulously tailored to engage students from kindergarten through high school. Throughout their visits, students are guided by the Aquarium educators, referred to as ‘Professors’.
These passionate experts seamlessly integrate scientific facts with firsthand observations of animal behavior, enriching the learning journey.
Participate in interactive games
Additionally, students interact with animals and participate in interactive games, keeping them intrigued and inspired with the overarching goal of instilling a deep appreciation for conservation efforts while nurturing curiosity and understanding of marine ecosystems.

“Currently, TNA offers four unique programs: Aqua Explore, Arabian Nature, Eco-logic, and Super Adaptations.
Each program is designed around a different topic with specific learning outcomes, tailored to align with the varying curricula of schools.”
Said Anne Valentina Bourbon, Manager of Education & Conservation at the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi.
“Beyond education, the Aquarium plays a pivotal role in conservation efforts, actively participating in rescue, rehabilitation, and release initiatives. These efforts showcase real-world conservation in action.
To further this mission, we are launching a new educational program for schools, that focuses on species at risk of extinction and in dire need of conservation awareness, such as the African Manatee.
Which is currently classified as vulnerable by both CITES and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.” She added.
In its dedication to nurturing the next generation of conservationists, The National Aquarium aims to inspire a sustainable outlook on life among future citizens.
The hope is that through its programs, students will develop lasting connections with nature, carrying these values forward regardless of their career paths.
Heart of TNA’s mission
At the heart of TNA’s mission is a commitment to fostering a lifelong appreciation for the natural world, captured in its slogan “create a moment for the people to re-connect with a world of natural treasures.”
It’s a reminder that every individual plays an important role in preserving our planet’s beauty, living creatures and resources for generations to come.
