NADRA Opens New Registration Centre in Malir Cantonment Karachi

Karachi: The National Database and Registration Authority NADRA has established a state of the art registration centre in Malir Cantonment. The centre officially started its services from 15 January 2026 to provide residents with modern facilities for Computerised National Identity Cards CNICs family registration certificates and other official documents. This initiative aims to improve public access to NADRA services and reduce waiting times for citizens in Karachi.

Part of Broader Expansion Plan in Karachi

This new centre is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to expand registration infrastructure in Karachi. Along with the Malir Cantonment centre two additional 24/7 registration centres have been established in Malir and Surjani Town. These centres are designed to operate around the clock ensuring citizens can access services without long waiting times.

Focus on Streamlined and Efficient Services

NADRA officials stated that the new centres are intended to streamline identity related services and improve accessibility for the public. With modern service counters and extended operating hours citizens can obtain and renew identity documents with minimal hassle and delays.

Reducing Crowd and Enhancing Service Delivery

The expansion of registration centres in Karachi is also aimed at reducing crowding at older offices and improving overall service delivery. NADRA’s initiative forms part of its broader strategy to modernise the national registration system and provide efficient citizen friendly services across the city.
