Following last week’s announcement, Motorola’s new Razr 40 Ultra went on sale for the first time in China. The flip foldable drew a lot of attention and quickly sold out on Motorola and Lenovo’s respective online stores, as well as third-party retailers JD.com.

According to Motorola China’s official Weibo, 10,000 units of the new device were sold on the first day alone.

Motorola unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Razr 40 Ultra, in the Chinese market earlier this month.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra foldable smartphone is now available in China for a starting price of 5,699 yuan, which roughly translates to $802.

The 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage model costs 5,699 yuan ($802), while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs 6,399 yuan ($900).

The smartphone comes in three different colors: Viva Magenta, Glacier Blue, and Infinite Black.

In terms of specifications, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has a 6.79-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ screen resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, 1,400 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. It also has a large secondary screen on the back panel that measures 3.6 inches and has a pOLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powers the device, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage. The phone has an IP52 splash-resistance rating and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
