Meta and Ray-Ban collaborated in 2021 to launch their first smart glasses, “Stories.” While the name was distinctive, both companies have taken it a step further.

Meta recently unveiled their second-generation smart glasses, known as the “Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.”

These glasses are a significant improvement over the first generation and include novel features not previously seen in smart eyewear. Let’s look more closely at what they have to offer.

Instagram & Facebook

The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses’ most notable feature is their ability to livestream video directly to Instagram and Facebook.

This is a game-changing feature in the world of smart glasses, and it has the potential to be extremely useful for content creators and social media enthusiasts.

These smart glasses are equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera that can record 1080p videos for up to 60 seconds.

They also have an outside white courtesy light to indicate when recording is taking place. They have 32GB of internal storage and can hold approximately 500 photos and 100 30-second videos.

All of the content you record syncs seamlessly with the Meta View app, making it simple to share with other apps.

The glasses are powered by a Qualcomm AR1 Gen 1 processor and are IPX4 water-resistant, which means they can withstand light splashes of water.

Meta has also significantly improved the audio in the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

The new version is 50% louder than the previous one, with clearer sound and deeper bass.

They’ve also included directional audio, which cuts down on sound leakage and creates a more immersive listening experience.
