Met Dept found Khis 1st strong monsoon on June 29

The Met Department has declared that Karachi’s first monsoon rains will arrive. Providing much-needed relief to the city’s citizens who have been suffering from the intense heat.

Karachi’s First Monsoon Rains

It is predicted that the eagerly awaited showers. Which would provide break from the intense heatwave that has engulfed the city in recent weeks.

According to the Department, commencing on June 26. Monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will reach Karachi.

A low-pressure system that is presently over Gujarat, India, is expected to move into Pakistan and deliver much-needed rain.

“On June 29, citizens can anticipate light to moderate rain,” a department official stated.

It is anticipated that this development would offer substantial respite from the heatwave that has caused discomfort and health issues throughout the city.

High Humid Level of 73%

It was previously reported that Karachi is now suffering from a severe heatwave, with high humidity and temperatures that make living conditions unbearably hot for locals.

With the current temperature at 33 degrees Celsius and a high humidity level of 73%.

The Met Department predicts that the maximum temperature on Tuesday could reach as high as 41 degrees Celsius. According to the report, 39 degrees was the feeling temperature.

Weather Service

The weather service does, however, forecast that sea breezes will return to Karachi starting Wednesday night and that temperatures will begin to gradually decline starting tomorrow.
