Pakistan Establishes State of the Art Media Facilitation Center for Islamabad Talks 2026

Media Facilitation Center

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) has officially launched a world-class Media Facilitation Center at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad. This facility is reportedly designed to serve as the primary hub for hundreds of foreign and local journalists covering the historic peace summit between the United States and Iran. The establishment of this center reportedly reflects Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring transparent and efficient global media coverage of the #IslamabadTalks.

High-Tech Infrastructure and Workstations

Reportedly, the center is equipped with high-speed internet and advanced technological infrastructure to meet the demands of modern journalism.

Free Shuttle Service for Seamless Commute

To facilitate journalists during the high-security lockdown in the capital, the government has reportedly launched a Free Shuttle Service. Starting from April 11, 2026, air-conditioned shuttles are reportedly operating from The Centaurus Mall (F-8 side) directly to the Jinnah Convention Center. This service reportedly ensures that media personnel can reach the venue safely and on time without navigating the extensive road diversions in the Red Zone.

Specialized Services for Foreign Correspondents

Reportedly, the Ministry has gone above and beyond to cater to international media houses. Specialized “Stand-up Areas” have reportedly been designated for live reporting, offering a professional backdrop of the capital’s diplomatic hub. Furthermore, foreign journalists have reportedly been provided with English-speaking liaison officers to help them navigate local protocols and coordinate interviews with government officials.

Simplified Accreditation and Access Protocols

Hospitality and Administrative Support

Following the tradition of Pakistani hospitality, the center reportedly includes a dedicated lounge area providing refreshments and meals for the media corps. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has reportedly personally inspected the arrangements, emphasizing that Pakistan aims to be the “best possible host” for the global press. Reportedly, these administrative measures are intended to create a comfortable environment for journalists working under the pressure of tight global deadlines.

Pakistan Strategic Communication Goals

Analysts suggest that by providing such extensive facilities, Pakistan is reportedly aiming to project its soft image as a capable and modern host. The efficient management of the Jinnah Convention Center center is reportedly being seen as a vital component of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic strategy during the Islamabad Accord. This proactive approach reportedly ensures that the world receives accurate and timely information directly from the heart of the peace negotiations.
