Internet is down in many places in Pakistan. Nobody knows why. Experts are still looking into it.
Many say it is an international issue. It’s not just a local problem.
ATM machines in Pakistan are also down and not working properly.
Meta’s apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram work fine. Other services having connection issues.
TechX Pakistan asked the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for more information. They will update when they know more.
TechX Pakistan noticed that only WhatsApp is working properly on the slow internet. The browsing is disturbed and network connectivity showing issues.
Southern cities also had minor connection problems. These are now fixed. Northern cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi have no problems.
Some internet service providers (ISPs) have problems, others do not. This shows the problem might be in certain areas only. PTA updated that, internet is slow due to tech problems.
PTCL has issues in many cities. Their data network is down. They are working hard to fix it, said a PTCL spokesperson.
