Madrid plays amazing against Chelsea in 2-1 victory

Real Madrid showed they are much better than Chelsea. We knew this without the friendly match. On Tuesday, Madrid won 2-1 in Charlotte. This win showed how big the gap is. Madrid’s star players were still on vacation. But they are ready for their season. Chelsea is not even close.

Lucas Vazquez scored the first goal for Madrid. Dani Ceballos touched the ball last. Brahim Diaz made it 2-0 by rounding the new Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen. Diaz had a great game. Noni Madueke scored for Chelsea before halftime. But it was only a consolation goal.

Madrid’s season starts on August 14 against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup. Chelsea starts four days later against Manchester City in the Premier League. One team is ready, and the other is not.

Vinicius Jr. Leads Madrid in Impressive Win

Vinicius Jr. made his first start of the pre-season against Chelsea. He was excellent. He created many chances and assisted Brahim’s goal. Vinicius was at the center of everything good for Madrid.

It is exciting to think that Vinicius will be less pressured this season. Kylian Mbappe will take some attention off him. Vinicius may have more space and chances.

If Vinicius is this good alone, playing with Mbappe will be amazing. Defenders should be worried. This will not be easy.

Chelsea looked bad every time Madrid attacked. They seemed clueless and disorganized. The defense was weak from the start. Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill did not play well. They had no effort or communication. Chelsea was lucky not to concede more goals in the first half.

Goalkeeper Jorgensen also had a poor game. His mistakes on Brahim’s goal were clear. Chelsea needs to fix their defense quickly. Coach Maresca has a lot of work to do.
