According to sorces, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has allowed restaurants to remain open from Sehr till Iftar throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The order was issued by LHC Judge Justice Shahid Karim while hearing appeals regarding the pollution situation in Lahore and other regions of Punjab.

Winter air is heavier than summer air, causing hazardous particles in the atmosphere to move below and pollute the atmosphere.

As a result, a layer of contaminated particles, including high volumes of carbon and smoke, forms over a region.

In a written decision, the LHC allowed Lahore restaurants to remain open from Sehr to Iftar and directed the education department to implement a practical activity once a week in schools to raise environmental awareness among pupils.

The court has prohibited LESCO employees from cutting the trees and ordered the power company to notify PHA if doing so is necessary.

In the most recent hearing, a member of the Judicial Water Commission filed a report to the Lahore High Court (LHC) about the PSL matches, ensuring that civilians will experience little disturbance during the tournament.

Smog has become a major concern for residents of Punjab, particularly in Lahore.
