Kia Lucky Motors has announced a significant increase in car prices in Pakistan as the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) continues to fall against the US Dollar (USD).
The company has raises the price of the Kia Picanto, Kia Sportage, Kia Stonic, Kia Sorento, and Kia Carnival in Pakistan by up to Rs. 1.1 million, depending on the model.
“Unfortunately, due to continuous devaluation of PKR to USD, we are compelled to increase the prices of Kia products effective July 19, 2022.” According to the company’s notification, booking of certain variants has also been opened. It is worth noting that the Pakistan Rupee fell to an all-time low of Rs. 221.99 against the US Dollar at the close of the interbank market on July 19, 2022.
KIA different models and their prices:
- KIA Picanto: In Pakistan, the price of the Kia Picanto has been increased by Rs. 500,000 for both variants, bringing the new price of the M/T variant to Rs. 3,100,000 and the A/T variant to Rs. 3,200,000, up from Rs. 2,600,000 and Rs. 2,700,000, respectively.
KIA Stonic: The Kia Stonic’s price has also been increased by Rs. 76,000, bringing the new price to Rs. 4,545,000 for the EX-variant and Rs. 4,848,000 for the EX+ variant, up from Rs. 4,469,250 and Rs. 4,772,250, respectively, from the previous price of Rs. 4,469,250 and Rs. 4,772,250.
- Kia Sportage: The Kia Sportage Alpha now costs Rs. 6,250,000 in Pakistan, an increase of Rs. 897,000 from the previous price of Rs. 5,353,000. Similarly, the Kia Sportage FWD is priced at Rs. 6,750,000, an increase of Rs. 892,000 over the previous price of Rs. 5,858,000. Meanwhile, the Kia Sportage AWD is now priced at Rs. 7,250,000, an increase of Rs. 887,000 over the previous price of Rs. 6,363,000.
Kia Sorento: Kia Sorento 2.4 FWD price in Pakistan is now Rs. 7,800,000, an increase of Rs. 895,640 over the previous price of Rs. 6,904,360. Similarly, the price of the Kia Sorento 2.4 AWD and 3.5 FWD has increased by Rs. 926,010 over the previous price of Rs. 7,573,990.
Kia Carnival: Meanwhile, the Kia Carnival is now available in Pakistan for Rs. 12,599,000, a Rs. 1,100,000 increases from the previous price of Rs. 11,499,000.
