Karachi ranked the lowest in world livability index

Karachi used to be a modern city with good schools and roads. Now, it’s ranked as the worst city to live in, once again. A group called The Economist Intelligence Unit ranked 173 cities. They looked at healthcare, culture, stability, roads, and schools. CNN shared this news.

Each city got a score from one to 100. One means it’s a bad place to live. One hundred means it’s perfect.

Karachi got the 169th spot. Its overall score is 42.7. It did worst in stability, getting only 20 points.

For healthcare, Karachi got 54.2. Culture and environment got 35.9. Education got 75. Infrastructure got 51.8.

Other cities like Lagos in Nigeria, Algiers in Algeria, Tripoli in Libya, and Damascus in Syria are also bad places to live.

Pakistan is facing many problems now. Politics and money are not good.

Vienna, a city in Austria, is the best city to live in. It got 98.4 points. Copenhagen in Denmark is second. Zurich in Switzerland is third.

In Western Europe, 30 cities did well. They got an average score of 92. But, they have more protests and crime now.
