The Islamabad police will soon introduce smart-cars equipped with artificial intelligence in an effort to improve law enforcement capabilities.

- Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
- Facial Recognition (FR)
The entire criminal record has integrated into the system, and that the facial recognition cameras can identify suspects on the spot during snap checks or patrolling, he stated.
Importance of AI Smart Cars
Furthermore, the advanced technology can generate an alert for e-challan defaulting vehicles, allowing them to take immediate action.
The official went on to say that victims of any type of crime can identify the perpetrators simply by providing a description of them.
The car’s system will generate images that match the description, resulting in immediate action.
Furthermore, the smart-cars will allow Islamabad police officers to respond quickly to complaints of car or motorcycle theft.
As soon as the number of the stolen vehicle entered into the system, all police units equipped with smart-cars are notified of such activity, according to SSP Operations.
Furthermore, Islamabad police officers have received training in this area.
