Islamabad and gilgit to begin best direct flights from 8 jun

The national carrier, PIA, would provide two daily flights from Islamabad Airport to Gilgit to accommodate the tourists, according to the PIA spokeswoman.

The move was made in response to a surge in visitors during the current school break.

Islamabad and Karachi will have extra fllights towards tourist destinations

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has just begun offering nonstop service between the cities of Karachi and Skardu, following the success of their nonstop Lahore service.

Today, over 150 passengers took out on PIA’s inaugural flight, PK-454, from Karachi to the mountain town of Skardu.

According to a representative of the country’s primary airline, the number of passengers on flights to Skardu rose throughout the summer because of school breaks. The airline has also decided to begin operating services between Lahore and Karachi and Skardu, the report said.
