Karachi, Pakistan’s vibrant capital and financial center, has made a momentous step by allowing pilgrims from Sindh to travel to Iran this year by bus and in their own vehicles.

The action intends to ease religious travel and advance cross-border tourism between the two regions.

According to the chief minister of Sindh’s spokeswoman, the Chabahar route would be used by the buses and automobiles as they go from Karachi to Iran.

This choice was made during a meeting between Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, and Hasan Noorin, the Iranian Consul General, where they talked about a variety of topics of interest and cooperation.

Iran and Sindh Bilateral Agreement For Pilgrims

The agreement will increase pilgrims’ travel options’ convenience and flexibility, developing deeper cultural linkages and boosting people-to-people interactions between Sindh and Iran.

In order to further facilitate the pilgrimage path, the Chief Minister stated that he intended to ask the Foreign Minister to work on opening the road from Karachi to Chabahar.

The discussion underlined the possibilities for cooperation in the health and transportation sectors in addition to the pilgrimage-related topic.

It was decided that medical professionals from Sindh and Iran will collaborate to handle ailments including thalassemia and heart diseases, thus enhancing the two areas’ healthcare collaboration.

The decision by Karachi and Sindh authorities to permit pilgrims from Sindh to travel to Iran by bus and cars demonstrates their dedication to boosting connectivity, cross-cultural exchange, and potential for bilateral tourism.

The goal of this program is to strengthen ties and mutual respect between the people of Karachi and Iran through developing deeper understanding and cooperation.
