Apple intends to introduce more distinguishing features between the iPhone 15 Pro and non-Pro variants.

However, it appears that certain upgrades, particularly the camera, will be incorporated into the more affordable models.

According to Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, both the 15 and 15 Plus will have the same main camera as the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

This improved 48MP lens is expected to use a three-stacked sensor, allowing it to capture more light and thus improve image quality. MacRumors discovered this information.

Despite advancements in imaging capabilities, there have been reports of issues in the stacked sensor supply chain, according to Pu.

Because of these issues, yields have been low, potentially leading to production delays for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. As a result, customers may face longer wait times

However, because the Pro models are expected to use the same sensor, this could result in production delays for the Pro phones as well.

This potential issue was not addressed in the report, but it is likely that the two classes of iPhones use different lenses sourced from different suppliers.

Furthermore, Apple may reserve the enhanced video recording features for the Pro versions. It should also be noted that the telephoto lenses will be absent from the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

With the A17 Bionic chipset’s dedicated Image Signal Processor (ISP), we can expect the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max to deliver superior image quality from the start.
