iOS 16 comes with new and better communication features

Apple kicked up WWDC 2022 by announcing iOS 16, which will arrive on iPhones later in the year-end. The lock screen, vehicle play, messages, email, iCloud, wallets, privacy, and authentication, to mention a few, will all undergo significant changes. Let’s get started.

The lock screen is the feature that iOS 16 emphasizes the most. Apple improved it by making it more customizable and making key information more accessible.

Widgets that display information such as the weather, calendar, and fitness data can now display when the phone gets up without users having to go to the widget menu.

Dynamic backgrounds and optional typefaces for displaying the date and time are also additional customizing possibilities.

The new lock screen can be customized in multiple ways for different aspects of a user’s life, such as professional and personal. To save space, lock screen alerts have been moved to the bottom of the screen.

Those new notifications will be updated on a regular basis to highlight the status of live events such as sporting events or deliveries.

Apple has also included several useful new capabilities for Messages and Mail. Users can retrieve previously deleted texts using the Messages app’s edit and undo options.

Users can now cut items out of photographs and paste them into Messages and other apps thanks to updates to Visual Look Up. Email scheduling, reminders, and a better search engine will be added to the Mail app.

With iOS 16, Apple has made significant modifications to the layout of CarPlay. The radio and climate may be controlled, and information can be viewed on various screens.

CarPlay will also allow users to customize the appearance of gauges and widgets. As the debut of supported vehicles nears in late 2023, Apple will explain more about the new CarPlay.

Safari, Apple Maps, Dictation, Siri, the Home app, health, Apple News, and other apps are all improved with iOS 16.

It will only work with iPhone 8 and newer, leaving out the iPhone 6s, 7, first-generation SE, and iPod Touch 7th generation. The public beta will begin in July, and a broad release will follow later in the year.
