After disagreements with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq may resign as chief selector.

Possible Reason of Inzamam To Resign

According to sources, he is dissatisfied with Shahid Anwar’s appointment as head coach of the U19 men’s team.

According to reports, he wanted former Pakistan batter Mohammad Yousaf to be named head coach of the U19 team.

However, this is not the first time former Pakistan cricket team captain and the PCB have failed to find common ground, as they have had disagreements in the past.

Inzamam and PCB Deal

Additionally, Inzamam recently signed a deal with the PCB worth Rs 2.5 million per month. The PCB, on the other hand, has rejected the aforementioned development.

“He happily took part in the selection of U19 men’s team and women’s A team. We don’t have any update about him being unhappy with the board,” a PCB spokesperson said when approached.

Moreover, he was named chairman of the Junior Men’s Cricket Selection Committee earlier this month, in addition to being in charge of the senior selection committee.

Tauseef Ahmed, Wajahatullah Wasti, and Wasim Haider make up the senior selection committee’s four members.

Aamer Nazir, Javed Hayat, Mahmood Hamid, Naveed Latif, Salman Ahmed, and Sanaullah Baloch are among the seven members of the junior selection committee.

Mohammad Hafeez Resignation From the PCB Technical Committee

Former captain Mohammad Hafeez resigned from the PCB Technical Committee last month as well.

Hafeez, who served as an honorary member of the committee, made the announcement on X (previously known as Twitter), thanking chairman Zaka Ashraf and wishing Pakistan cricket the best.

However, Hafeez’s decision to leave the committee came after only a little more than two months on the job.
