Passengers on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) international outbound aircraft were outraged when they were offered ‘Daal Chawal’ instead of meat as an in-flight meal.
According to the circumstances, the event occurred on a flight destined for Saudi Arabia. All passengers were fed daal chawal and no meat was served by the staff.
The passengers were enraged, and the majority of them refused to eat their meals. Some passengers got into a furious argument with the crew, who were attempting to address the unique issue in mid-flight.
The passengers filed a joint protest against the crew members after arriving in Jeddah, alleging that they were served daal chawal instead of meat. They also bemoaned the deterioration of the national carrier’s services.
A spokesman for the PIA confirmed the occurrence in this regard. The representative also apologized to the passengers for any minor difficulty they may have experienced throughout their trip.
According to the spokeswoman, the national flag carrier has been experiencing a scarcity of several commodities due to vendor supply chain concerns.
The availability of meat goods will be resumed after the sellers have ensured a steady supply.
