Indian and Pakistani soldiers exchange sweets on Diwali along the border

On the occasion of Diwali, one of the most important religious holidays in India, Pakistan Rangers and the Indian border security force shared sweets.

On the international border in the Jammu area, Samba, Kathua, RS Pura, and Akhnoor border, security forces from arch-rival nations shared sweets and Diwali greetings.

The armed forces of the two sides held the view that such deeds contribute to the development of a calm environment and friendly ties along the border. Force for Border Security

BSF Border Security Force spokesperson: “Today, on the celebration of Diwali, BSF and Pakistan Rangers shared sweets at several border outposts under the Jammu boundary in a very friendly mood.

The border security forces of India and Pakistan exchange presents and greetings on a number of religious festivals, including Eid and Diwali as well as their respective Independence Days.

The spokesman claimed that although essentially controlling the border, the BSF has always been at the forefront of fostering a calm and welcoming environment.

According to him, “Such deeds (exchange of treats) assist develop a tranquil environment and friendly connections on the border between both the border guarding personnel.”
