In May 2022, PTA receives almost 16,000 complaints against telcos

During the month of May, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received over 16,000 complaints regarding Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs), with 98 percent of them being resolved.

According to PTA data, Jazz received 5,649 complaints, Telenor received 5,417 complaints, Zong received 3,528 complaints, and Ufone received 1,478 complaints.

As of May 2022, the Authority had received 16,872 complaints from telecom customers against cellular operators, Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), Long Distance International (LDIs), and Wireless Local Loop (WLL) operators, as well as Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Cellular mobile users account for a significant portion of the total telecom subscriber base. As a result, this portion receives the greatest amount of complaints.

In addition, the PTA received 239 complaints about the basic telephone, of which 227 were resolved in May 2022.

In addition, 532 complaints were received against ISPs, with 520 of them being resolved.
