Due to dollar rate increases, cargo cost increases, and later car price increases, 2022 has been a tense year for Pakistan’s car industry. Despite this, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has had a successful year.
According to a recent report, the company broke its previous record of over 15,500 cars sold in December 2021 by selling more than 16,000 cars in June 2022.
Although the breakdown of sales is unknown, reports indicate that the new Suzuki Swift has contributed significantly to the overall increase in sales.
PSMC is also a top contender in Pakistan’s small car segment, with a diversified list of city cars and a large market presence. The company controls more than 60% of the automotive market.
However, surmise suggests that all carmakers, including PSMC, will likely see a drop in sales due to the rising fuel and vehicle prices by late 2022 or early 2023.
Because of the accumulation of backlogged orders, sales will remain consistent for the time being.
Price of a new Suzuki motorcycle
The Suzuki GD110S has seen a 7% increase in power. The bike has been reduced in price from Rs. 212,000 to Rs. 219,000. The Suzuki GS150’s price has risen by Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 239,000, up from Rs. 232,000 previously.
The third model, the Suzuki GS150SE, now costs Rs. 256,000, up from Rs. 249,000 previously, a Rs. 7,000 increases.
The Suzuki GR150’s price has been raised by Rs. 10,000, bringing it to Rs. 349,000 from Rs. 339,000 previously. As is customary, the company has not provided an explanation for the price increase. These price increases are hurtful and unreasonable, especially given the rising level of inflation.
