In budget 2023-24, Govt. eager not to burden business group

Ishaq Dar, the minister of finance, stated on Wednesday that the government is taking steps to set the nation on a road of progress and prosperity without adding to the burdens placed on the business community and the general population in the upcoming 2023-24 budget.

Visiting Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad was a joint delegation from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), and Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

Business Group Ideas For Upcoming Budget 2023-24

The group presented their ideas for inclusion in the upcoming federal budget and informed the minister and his staff of the challenges the business community was experiencing.

They gave the minister assurances that the business community will help the government meet its income and export goals for the upcoming fiscal year in 2023-24 budget and contribute to the growth of the nation.

The business sector is a partner in progress, according to the finance minister, and as such, the government is always open to useful and implementable proposals from them.

Along with other senior members of the three Chambers, the delegation included RCCI President Saqib Rafiq, ICCI President Ahsan Bakhtawari, and other officials.

Tariq Bajwa of the SAPM on Finance, Tariq Mehmood Pasha of the SAPM on Revenue, Ashfaq Tola of the Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission (RRMC), Asim Ahmad of the FBR, Imdad Bosal of the SAPM on Finance, and other top officials from the Finance Ministry and Revenue Division all attended the budget meeting.
