Illegal Nursing Schools and Colleges to be closed immediately

The Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) has made the decision to immediately close all unlawful nursing courses and schools that are currently operating throughout the nation.

In this respect, Dr. Shazia Aslam, the PNC’s recently elected president, stated that the organization will pay a surprise visit to nursing schools around the nation and then determine whether to close them.

Dr. Shazia said, “Those nursing institutes operating in blatant violation of PNC regulations will be sealed, while those fulfilling the majority of PNC requirements will be urged to establish compliance with PNC standards as soon as possible.”

She said that unethical behavior and poor management had damaged PNC’s reputation across the nation. She said, “The newly-elected PNC council has determined to restore the lost grandeur of PNC.”

Dr. Shazia also noted the present difficulties in registering new nurses and providing them with registration cards. But she pledged to speed up the procedures in the upcoming days.

She emphasized the necessity of enhancing the PNC’s online procedures and stated that the organization will look to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) for assistance in this area.
