Illegal Afghan nationals arrest orders have been issued

The Ministry of Interior has given permission for the arrest, detention, and deportation of foreign nationals who are living unlawfully in Pakistan especially Afghan nationals. Additionally, it includes people who have overstayed their visa’s time of validity.

Orders To Arrest Illegal Afghan Nationals

Furthermore, the orders came after the one-day deadline for departing Pakistan had passed. Authorities all around the nation have started taking action against immigrants as directed by the ministry.

However, it is important to highlight that thousands of Afghans, including individuals who have lived in our country for decades, have been compelled to return home.

Ministry of Interior Notification

Additionally, the ministry has made it clear in its announcement that people who are in the process of being tried or found guilty will not be returned home. Every province has received the notification.

Moreover, Sarfraz Bugti, the caretaker Minister of Interior, stated in a video message that no refugees will be deported, but those who are entirely unlawful will depart Pakistan.

Earlier today, the minister shared a video of neighbor country nationals being deported.

“This action is a testament to Pakistan’s determination to repatriate any individuals residing in the country without proper documentation,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

It should be noted that the vast majority of neighbor country being repatriated were born in Pakistan and had never visited Afghanistan.

Following the Taliban takeover, they found it even more difficult to imagine life under their control.
