The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday extended its injunction against Imran Khan’s arrest in more instances until May 31st, marking the latest instance of Imran Khan enjoying blanket respite from the country’s judiciary.
This occurred at a hearing on a petition filed by the PTI to obtain information about the more than a hundred criminal charges against Khan.
Court time was requested by the federal government, which was represented by the additional attorney general for Pakistan, the advocate general for Pakistan, and the state counsel.
The hearing was postponed until May 31 per their request.
Maleeka Bukhari and Ali Muhammad Khan are freed under an IHC order.
The imprisonment of PTI leaders Maleeka Bukhari and Ali Muhammad Khan has also been deemed “null and void” by the IHC in a separate case.
Both MPs were ordered released immediately by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb.
