Hyundai recently opened a manufacturing facility in Bangladesh with the help of its local partner Fair Technology in the Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakoir, Gazipur. Hyundai passenger cars that are “Made in Bangladesh” will begin to appear on the road early in 2019.
Additionally, the business presented the brand-new Hyundai Creta SUV for the Bangladesh market in 2023. The 1.5L gasoline engine in the Creta has a CVT, and its standout features include 17-inch diamond alloy rims, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen cluster, and advanced safety systems.
At the launch, Fair declared that its factory in Gazipur will build more Hyundai cars, MPVs, and SUVs. Customers will also receive authentic spare parts and after-sales services along with these passenger automobiles. Senior Fair Technology executives, including Head of Sales Abu Naser, and Fair Group Head of Communication and Corporate Philanthropy Hasnain Khurshed, Head of Marketing J M Taslim Kabir, were also present.
According to the government of Bangladesh’s strategy, the facility was built on 6 acres of land in Kaliakair, Gazipur, and it would aid in localization, employment creation, and a rise in the number of skilled employees in the nation. According to Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, managing director of Fair Technology:
“To execute the Prime Minister’s dream of Digital Bangladesh, Fair Technology will make Hyundai cars in Bangladesh. Using Hyundai’s technology and expertise, we will ensure that Hyundai’s world-class cars can be enjoyed by Bangladeshi customers at affordable prices.”
