Sharing your Wi-Fi password on iOS devices can be helpful if you ever forget it. The time and effort saved from not having to repeatedly enter in lengthy passwords is appreciated. Since most of us rely on mobile data these days, having Wi-Fi available is often a necessity.
There are occasions when we need to let guests use our home broadband connection. The same thing occurs when you visit a public location or the home of a stranger. It’s not always a good idea to ask for or offer to share your Wi-Fi password. When you’re comfortable sharing Internet access but not the password, the Password Sharing tool comes in useful.
Both the Android and iOS mobile operating systems have a built-in option called “Sharing W-Fi password” that makes it easy to distribute the password for a wireless network to other users. Prerequisites
- Make sure you’re using the most up-to-date versions of iOS and iPadOS on both devices.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be activated on both devices. If either device activates Personal Hotspot, turn it off immediately.
- Use your Apple ID to access iCloud. Your Apple ID email address must then be added to the other person’s
- Contacts list. Also, add their contact information to your Contacts list.
- Always make sure the other person’s gadget is within Wi-Fi or Bluetooth range.
Sharing your iOS device’s Wi-Fi password.
- First, make sure the device you’ll be using to share the password on is unlocked and online.
- Second, on the device to which you wish to connect, choose the Wi-Fi network.
- Third, touch Share Password.
- Finally, press Done.
