Hunaid Lakhani, founder of Iqra University passed away in Karachi due to dengue

According to a report by the local News channel, lawmaker and educationist Hunaid Lakhani passed dead on Thursday from dengue fever at a hospital in Karachi. He was the university’s founder and chancellor.

Hunaid Lakhani was receiving treatment for dengue virus at a hospital in Karachi, according to people in his family, but he was unable to recover.

Following the tragic death of Lakhani, several academics and politicians, including the president of Pakistan, extended their condolences.

Lakhani continued to be a member of the PTI and the Pakistan Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P). The FIXIT organization was also started by him and PTI MNA Alamgir Khan.

His Namaz-e-Janazah will be held on Friday, 9th September at Masjid-e-Saheem, Khayaban-e-Rahat, DHA Phase 6, after Jumma prayers.
