Huawei New Product

In a highly anticipated event in China on May 18, it will unveil a slew of new devices, including a new MatePad model and a smartwatch.

While the official Weibo post did not reveal the exact name of the upcoming slate, rumors suggest it may be called the Huawei MatePad Air.

Several models, including a Wi-Fi-only variant (DBY2-W00) and two 4G-enabled variants (DBY2-AL00 and DBY2Z-AL00), have already received certification.

According to ITHome, a Chinese publication, the upcoming tablet will have a Snapdragon 888 chipset and an 8,200 mAh battery that supports 40W charging.

Huawei frequently uses older flagship chips because it is prohibited from using the most recent 5G-powered technology.

Although the exact price has not been confirmed, it is expected to be between the MatePad 11 (2023) ($318) and the MatePad Pro 11 (2022) ($505). The official teaser campaign, which will reveal more official details in the coming days, should begin soon.

In addition to the tablet, Huawei’s Summer Product Launch event on the 18th is expected to feature the new Watch 4 series as well as the latest MateBook laptops, which will compete with Apple’s MacBooks. It is unknown when these products will be available on the global market.
