HTC is still astonishingly thriving in the smartphone space, announcing its latest U24 Pro handset a week after teasing it. These are the specifications.

Design and Display

The tall 6.8-inch OLED display is curved on the sides and has 1080p resolution (1080 x 2436px) with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an unspecified version of Gorilla Glass for protection.

There is an optical fingerprint sensor beneath the screen, and the phone retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is IP67 water and dust resistant.

Internals & Software

The main processor is the upper mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which can be coupled with up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage, but there is also a memory card slot for further expansion.

The storage type is UFS 3.1, which promises fast performance. Android 14 is installed by default.

Cameras

On the back, there are two 50MP cameras and one 8MP shooter for ultrawide shots. The primary 50MP camera includes OIS for steady shots, while the secondary 50MP sensor is a telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom.

The maximum video recording resolution is 4K at 30 frames per second. The selfie camera is another 50MP shooter, but it can only record 1080p videos.
