A Smartboard is an electronic, interactive whiteboard that works in conjunction with a computer and projector.

Presenting in front of a smartboard can help keep your listeners engaged and attentive. They are quickly becoming the norm in schools and companies, taking the place of whiteboards. One can use them for drawing, surfing the web, and showing data. They may store and share documents, presentations, and notes from your PC. Even internet information is as close as your fingertip these days.

How can you use smartboard

Step 1:

Hook up your Smartboard to a computer. Before you can start using it, you’ll need to download and install the necessary software on your computer and connect it to the board. Many institutions (even educational ones) will set it up for you, but if they don’t, you can always do it yourself. To install the software and link the Smartboard to a computer, just follow the on-screen prompts provided by the setup wizard.

For further information about your board, please consult the manual that comes with it.

Step 2

Launch Smartboard Notebook on your laptop. This software allows you to control it from a personal computer. It can be used for lesson preparation, note taking, and document storage. Choose the Notebook file or icon to launch the program.

Step 3

Use an LCD projector with your Smartboard. It can then be used as a projector for everybody to see. Its setup process will provide more detailed guidance, but in general, you’ll need to hook up your projector to your computer before you can attach it. Launch Notebook and choose the Smartboard connection setting under the Projector menu.

Step 4

Log in and power on the Smartboard. In order to activate it, please press the “on” button. Launch the appropriate software application on your computer and follow the on-screen prompts to log in. If you don’t know what your company-issued login is, contact a system administrator at your place of employment.

Step 5

Set the Smartboard to the Correct Settings. It needs to be calibrated before use to ensure accurate alignment. In order to calibrate it, you must simultaneously push the keyboard and right mouse buttons located at the base of the board. Then, using its special pen, tap the on-screen target.

There could be a number of targets for you to tap!

Step 6

If necessary, is to get any supplementary software. Other capabilities, such as a customizable handwriting display and the ability to write in several colours, may be available as add-on software for your Smartboard. To use these applications, simply save them to your computer and launch the board.
