- It is possible that the Nothing Phone’s (1) fingerprint sensor will not function with the Android 14 beta.
- The Android 14 beta does not support face unlock.
- The Nothing Phone’s (1) Glyph interface is not highly modifiable and lacks a wide range of functionality.
- There is no way to share batteries.
- Slow motion and the Portrait Mode do not function.
- Nothing Weather and X are the only preloaded apps.
- There is no way to transmit your screen to a TV.
How to run Android beta 14 version
- To begin, head over to Nothing’s website and grab the Android 14 beta package there.
- Second, always use the most recent version of your phone’s operating system. To view this data, first access “Settings,” then “About phone,” and lastly “Software info.”
- Third, go to “Settings,” then “System,” and tap “System update” to see if the current version of “Nothing OS 1.5.4” has been installed.
- After verifying the most recent software update is installed, step four is to make a new folder on your phone’s internal storage labelled “ota.” The installation package should then be moved to the “ota” folder.
- Next, go to your phone’s dial pad and punch in the following code: “*#*#682#*#*”
- Choose “ota” from the drop-down to view all files in that format. If the update package is not already installed, pick “Browse,” then “ota,” and finally the missing update. A reload can be accessed by selecting the button.
- Select the option to “Directly apply OTA from selection” and the update will begin automatically.
- Following the completion of the upgrade procedure, Step 8 will prompt you to reset your device. You must now select “Confirm.”
In the event of problems, you can revert to Nothing OS’s Android 13 base version. The package must be downloaded, and the same installation procedure must be followed.
