How to post whatsapp voice note status in 7 easy steps

WhatsApp has released an update for Android users that enables them to record and publish their own voice as their status. The company initially released this update for iOS users and has since made it available for Android users as well.

This update brings the ability to record a voice status to WhatsApp for Android users. Users will be able to post a voice note as a status update thanks to this new function. Users can choose who hears their voice memos by adjusting their sharing settings.

Status updates delivered through voice note will likewise be encrypted from beginning to end. As a result, only the people the user approves in their privacy settings will be able to see their content. Sharing a voice note via status will have the same 24-hour expiration as sharing an image or video.

However, once shared as status updates, voice notes can be deleted for everyone. Users will have the ability to regulate the information they disclose at all times with these features.

Here’s how to record a voice status and share it on WhatsApp:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
  2. Select the “Status” menu item from the screen’s bottom left.
  3. Users will find a camera icon and the “My Status” option at the very top of the Status screen. Click on it
  4. After tapping the status bar, users will be sent to a menu where they can choose from a variety of media options.
  5. Now, to record your voice status, tap and hold the microphone icon. Put the icon back in its place to end recording.
  6. Once you’ve recorded your voice status, you have the option of adding text, stickers, or even drawings to it.
  7. Update your voice status by tapping the send button.
