Microsoft Teams’ various features, such as online meetings and file sharing amongst teams, facilitate improved collaboration between businesses and their employees. In a Teams meeting or call, having your microphone on can occasionally provide distractions for those around you. This includes things like the rustling of papers, the slamming of doors, the sound of a dog barking, and so on.
To help keep meeting attendees focused, the Teams desktop app and iOS offer three distinct noise suppression settings. Microsoft has announced that its users will have the option to use artificial intelligence-based noise suppression during calls and meetings.
Auto: In most cases, the Teams app’s default setting of “Auto” is the best option because it optimizes for noise suppression.
High: The highest setting eliminates all ambient noise except for your voice, making it ideal for conference rooms with a lot of people talking at once.
Low: Isolates you from ambient sounds that are always there, like an air conditioner or computer fan. In this section, you can play music for the meeting while you’re waiting for it to begin. The Team tab in the main interface
- Choose Profile > Settings and more to get additional profile options.
- Choose an option under Noise suppression after clicking Devices on the left.
From the meeting window
- In the meeting controls, click the More button more to access other options, and then choose Device settings.
- Choose a method in Noise suppression. (Option explanations can be found in the second section.)
Here are iOS’s steps for adjusting the volume of noise cancellation:
- To change your profile settings, click on your profile photo.
- Step two is to go to the Calling menu.
- Choose the option of Noise suppression.
