Gmail users can create “favorite” labels for both mailing lists and individual messages, making them readily accessible. These frequently visited communities and discussions are organized into their own submenu on the sidebar to the left. A favorited item is visible solely to the account’s owner and does not gain favorite status for anyone else.
Google Groups, Google’s email collaboration tool, can assist manage everything from a simple mailing list to a complex question-and-answer email forum, simplifying the process greatly.
Learn how to designate specific Gmail chats and messages as favorites.
- You must first login to Google Groups.
- Select the star icon to the right of the group’s entry.
- After selecting a group, select the star icon to its left.
- The group will then appear in the list of Favorite groups on the left side of the screen.
Here’s how you unfollow a band from your Favorites:
- Click the star to the right of the group’s entry.
- Select a group, and then click the Star to the left of the group’s name.
- Third, select a favorite group or the website’s URL from the list on the left.
- However over the group’s name, click More, and then select “Unfavorite.”
Follow these steps to star a message:
- To access the Gmail message, select the tab holding it.
- To “star” a chat, follow these steps
- The most recent message in the thread is now marked as a favorite.
- You can mark a message as Gmail favorite by clicking the star icon in the upper right corner of a conversation.
- Four, the thread in which the message is located is marked as a favorite and shown in the sidebar.
Here’s how to stop marking a certain thread as a favorite:
- To access the message, select the tab holding it.
- Click the Star to the right of the discussion entry. By doing so, the conversation and all of its messages will be removed from your list of favorited conversations.
- You can mark a message as favorite by clicking the star icon in the upper right corner of a conversation. Unless the conversation contains other messages that have been designated as favorites, the conversation will be removed from the Starred conversations list.
Users may quickly find the Gmail messages and groups they’re looking for with a few mouse clicks by marking them as favorites.
