How to cancel background noise in iphone calls with ios 16. 4

The iOS 16.4 update for iPhones has just been released by Apple. In addition to other improvements and bug fixes, the update introduces Voice Isolation for mobile calls. When it debuted in iOS 15, the capability was intended solely for use with FaceTime and a few carefully chosen third-party apps. With iOS 16.4, the function is also accessible during cellular phone calls.

For those unfamiliar, the Voice Isolation function prioritizes the user’s voice over any ambient noise, making calls easier to hear in busy public spaces. Here’s all you need to do to turn on the feature and give it a try:

Launch iPhone’s settings menu. Select General and scroll down the menu. Select Software update to see if there is a newer version available. When the update becomes available, select Download. Please be patient while the update finishes. Before updating, ensure that you have enough battery life and storage space, and that you have taken a full backup of your phone.

Instructions for turning on Voice Isolation for iPhone calls

1: Launch the Phone app.
2. Give someone a call.
3. In the middle of a call, swipe down from the upper right corner (on iPhones without Touch ID) or up from the button (on iPhones with Touch ID) to access Control Center.
4. Select the Voice Isolation option by tapping the microphone icon.
After that, the phone will begin giving priority to the user’s voice during calls by activating the Voice Isolation function.
Follow the same procedures as above, however select Standard rather than Voice Isolation.
