The current IFA 2023 exhibition featured a number of creative prototype products, including Honor’s new V Purse.

Yes, this is a phone that can be carried as a luxury purse, complete with a gold strap/chain that matches the device’s overall aesthetic.

However, don’t be fooled by its eccentricity. The Honour V Purse is an engineering wonder. Its outward folding mechanism distinguishes it, and when closed.

The device measures only 9mm thick—thinner than the Magic V2 and certain bar phones. It’s also composed of environmentally sustainable materials, such vegan leather for the straps.

(AOD) styles

Honour proposes the concept of a “phy-digital fashion statement,” which combines physical elements like straps with dynamic and interactive Always On Display (AOD) styles.

The organisation has engaged the help of well-known fashion designers to create these AOD variants.

The goal of this endeavour is to allow consumers to easily match their Honour V Purse with diverse outfits. The phone’s screen matches the model’s attire, as shown in the image above.

The device attempts to reduce reliance on quick fashion by providing a diverse and adaptable accessory, which is achieved through replaceable straps and an assortment of AOD designs that are visible on both sides due to the outward folding mechanism.

However, because it is simply a concept phone, it will not be offered in stores, at least for the time being.

On the bright side, Honour intends to widen the scope of AOD designs by inviting developers and creators from around the world to construct personalised appearances.

Versatility Of Platform

Because of the versatility of this platform, AOD can respond to both human interactions and environmental variables. It combines touch tracking with access to ambient light sensors and accelerometers.
