Automakers are still dealing with inventory and parts shortages, and Honda Pakistan is the latest company to announce the closure of a manufacturing site as a result of these challenges.

Honda Factory Closure For a Week

The factory will be closed for one week, from October 24 to October 31. “In case of any change in plan will be updated accordingly,” Honda said in its statement.

It should be recalled that the corporation previously halted operations for several weeks.

The automaker shut down its manufacturing activities in March, which lasted until May.

Toyota IMC Production Facility Shut Down

Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) had previously announced a production shutdown due to inventory constraints. Its manufacturing operations will be halted until November 17.

Both of these firms will publish new vehicle prices once production resumes.

Rupee to Dollar Stability Impact on Imports

This is because the US dollar to Pakistani rupee exchange rate has improved significantly, falling from Rs. 307 to Rs. 280 per US dollar.

Because the auto sector is strongly reliant on imports, if the exchange rate maintains stable at its current level, automobile costs will most certainly fall soon.
