The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has advised students and parents to avoid admission to the two-year BA, BSc, MA, and MSc degree programs.
Admission To 2-year Degree Programs
HEC discontinued two-year BA/BSc and MA/MSc programmes with extended deadlines of academic years 2019 and June 30, 2022, respectively.
Despite the gradual phase-out of these two-year degree programs. Some higher education institutions accepted students after the deadlines.
Attested by HEC
HEC has warned students, parents, and higher education institutions. That degrees earned through such programmes will not be recognised and attested by HEC.
It is important to note that, according to its Ordinance.
HEC has power to create situations for the establishment and operation of higher education institutions. Such as those not associated with the state educational system.
HEC is also in charge of developing policies, establishing standards. And determining priorities in a variety of areas related to institutional regulations, guidelines, and rules that aim to improve educational quality.
