The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially announced the Hajj 2026 flight schedule for Pakistani pilgrims under the government scheme. The schedule outlines flight dates, cities of departure, airlines involved, and total number of flights to Saudi Arabia.
Start and End Dates of Operations
According to the ministry, Hajj flights will begin on April 18, 2026, and continue until May 21, 2026. The 34-day schedule is designed to facilitate smooth and organized travel for pilgrims to the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah.
Airlines Participating in Operations
The flight operation will involve Pakistan International Airlines, AirBlue, Air Sial, and Saudia Airlines, ensuring broad coverage and convenience for pilgrims from different regions of Pakistan. Each airline has been assigned specific routes and flight quotas to manage the large number of travelers.
Flight Allocation to Madinah and Jeddah
On the first day of operations, four flights will depart for Madinah, where pilgrims will travel exclusively during the first 15 days of the operation. A total of 186 flights are scheduled to Madinah, while 282 flights will operate to Jeddah, with flights to Jeddah starting from May 4, 2026.
Number of Pilgrims and Gender Breakdown
Under the government scheme, around 119,000 pilgrims from Pakistan will perform Hajj this year. This includes 67,230 men and 51,846 women, reflecting official gender distribution for organized travel arrangements.
City Wise Flight Distribution
The flights are distributed across major cities to ensure accessibility: Islamabad (129 flights), Karachi (124 flights), Lahore (104 flights), Quetta (18 flights), Multan (34 flights), Sialkot (26 flights), Faisalabad (23 flights), and Sukkur (5 flights). This allocation aims to manage passenger flow efficiently and reduce congestion.
Guidelines and Updates for Pilgrims
The ministry has advised all pilgrims to stay updated via official channels and the Pak Hajj 2026 mobile app for departure times, flight updates, and other important instructions. Pilgrims are also encouraged to complete all pre-Hajj requirements and arrive at departure airports on time to ensure a smooth travel experience.
