For the second year of Hajj in a row, the Ministry of Health has opened a mobile dentistry clinic in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to give free dental care to pilgrims. The Al-Haram Emergency Hospital Clinic was opened by the Makkah Healthcare Cluster on behalf of the Ministry of Health. Asen Medical Company, a private entity, is collaborating with the local community to establish mobile health clinics.
The mobile dental clinic will facilitate Hajj pilgrims
The goal of this project is to address the dearth of dental services in the Grand Mosque region and to prevent Hajj pilgrims from having to go outside of the area for treatment.
The move is consistent with the Ministry of Health’s goals of enhancing the quality of care provided, expanding access to care, and enhancing the efficiency with which care is delivered to those who visit the Grand Mosque.
These measures are in line with the wise leadership of the Kingdom’s desire to ensure the pilgrims’ safety and comfort throughout their time in the holy city. During the Hajj season, the mobile clinic’s 32 full-time medical and operational specialists provide dental care around-the-clock for pilgrims in need.
To ensure that visitors to the Grand Mosque have access to high-quality medical care at no cost to them, the Ministry of Health formed a collaboration with the business sector.
The administration of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince provided support and advice, and the Minister of Health ensured that the best possible free health services were provided to the pilgrims through this cooperation.
A number of high-quality initiatives, including mobile clinics, are being introduced this year to meet the increased need for medical care among Hajj participants. The clinics are a part of a larger framework that includes private-sector cooperation and integration and a desire to make the best possible use of resources in order to meet patients’ health care requirements.
