Government takes a serious step towards lifting Pakistan's FIFA ban

The government of Pakistan has taken some serious steps to normalize football activities in the country. A good news for all football fans is that, The Pakistan Football Federation’s ban is being lifted, and procedures are being taken to reach an agreement with FIFA‘s Normalization Committee.

PFF was banned by FIFA last year when a gang of unauthorized personnel assaulted Pakistan’s Football Headquarters and usurped control from the FIFA-appointed PFF Normalization Committee.

It was said that the PFF suspension would not be lifted until the normalization committee of FIFA regained entire control of the headquarters.

According to reports, a meeting between FIFA’s Normalization Committee and the Federal Government was held, and the issue was settled. Fehmida Mirza, the Federal Minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination, has also contacted FIFA about this.

According to reports, the Federal Government has issued a letter to the Punjab Government requesting the transfer of control of the Lahore Headquarters to the FIFA-appointed Normalization Committee.

These factors point to the conclusion of a bleak chapter for Pakistani football, as FIFA is anticipated to withdraw its ban on the country soon, allowing football to resume in the country.
