On Wednesday, the government increased the cost of petrol by Rs. 1.45 a liter starting on September 21.

Petrol now costs Rs. 237.43 per liter as opposed to Rs. 235.98 per liter. Diesel, though, still costs the same.

Around 2 AM today, the Ministry of Finance tweeted the bombshell.

Kerosene’s cost has been decreased by Rs. 8.30, making the new per-liter cost of kerosene oil Rs. 202.02.

Similar to that, light diesel now costs Rs. 4.26 less per liter, or Rs. 197.28.

The government raised the cost of petrol by Rs. 1.71 per liter earlier in August.
