In Pakistan, it has become more difficult to receive justice. People must pay court costs in addition to the exorbitant fees imposed by attorneys in the majority of civil procedures. Senior lawyers are even compensated for giving legal advice. The Sindh provincial government has made the decision to help the people in this situation. In order to provide free legal advice to the general people over the phone, the Legal Aid Society and Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center have joined.
The Sindh government has enlisted the help of eight prominent high court lawyers in order to provide free legal advice to common people. You may now get legal aid by calling the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center at 0800-70806. (SLACC). You can call this hotline between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. Over 450 Pakistani cities, towns, and villages have made over 30,000 calls since the service’s launch in 2018!
. You can make a free call to the LAS helpdesk at (800) 70806 from any PTCL landline number. Additionally, you can use a mobile device to dial this SLACC & LAS hotline number. Calls to 0800-70806 will then be charged at a reduced rate.
The legal division of the Sindh government is backing this endeavor. Soon, more lawyers will be employed for this free legal assistance initiative. Legal advice on civil, familial, criminal, and tax concerns will be provided without charge. Other Pakistani regions must provide such a beneficial service for locals who cannot afford the exorbitant expense of attorneys.
