Google's Q3 2022 revenue broke records

The company’s profits recently have not benefited from Google’s long-term growing sales trend, as seen by its most recent earnings report, which was announced on Tuesday. The same pattern applies: Increasing income requires increasing expenditures.

Even better than the stellar success displayed during Q3 2021 at $65.1 billion, Google was able to generate nearly $69 billion in revenue during the third quarter of 2022. This simply served to maintain the steady rise we have been witnessing at $5.9 billion since 2009.

The profit statistics told a very different tale. The corporation made $13.9 billion during the most recent quarter, a considerable decrease from the $18.9 billion it made during the same period previous year. The amount from last year was the sixth consecutive quarter of record-breaking profits. Additionally, it was a dip from the previous quarter’s $16 billion profit the corporation generated.

On the plus side, Google’s many business divisions have expanded in comparison to last year. Google Cloud’s revenue increased from $4.9 billion to $6.9 billion during the same period, and the search engine giant’s ad division generated $54.4 billion for the corporation, up from $53.1 billion previous year.

It is important to note that the losses for the cloud division also climbed from $644 million to $699 million. Additionally, it lost money in its “other bets” category, which totaled around $1.6 billion in 2018 vs $1.3 billion in 2021.
