Google has announced its commitment to supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Pakistan by offering 45,000 Career Certificate scholarships in 2024.
Furthermore, Google has launched two new programmes to support freelancers and women in the country.
World’s 3rd-largest freelancing economy
Pakistan with third-largest freelancing economy, and it is critical that the country’s freelance talent remain competitive, particularly in today’s rapidly changing digital environment.
This year, Google collaborated with the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) to create a programme that will assist Pakistan’s freelance community.
In addressing soft skills challenges such as personal branding and communication. Up to 50,000 PAFLA freelancers could benefit from the programme, which is taught by Google experts.
To inspire and empower women to enter and thrive in the workforce.
Google has collaborated with its long-term partner Tech Valley to create the Career Kamyabi program.
Gender Balance
Which advocates for gender balance in the workforce and aims to create an inclusive and supportive work environment for women by providing equal employment and professional development opportunities.
The programme, which has already received support from over 50 of Pakistan’s leading employers.
And assists women in creating economic opportunities by connecting them with potential employers.
